I am interested in admitting my child in KG. When do I apply ?

A1

Advertisement for admission to KG class for ‘Non Air Force’ category is published in mid October in Hindustan Times news paper for the next academic session. Parents belonging to ‘ Non Air Force’ category are advised to watch out for this advertisement and register for admissions for the next academic session in the previous year itself. Air Force Officers and Airmen who are posted to Delhi can apply for admission on their arrival on posting to Delhi. Air Force personnel already posted to Delhi can apply for admission 1st week of Jan.

Q2

I am interested in admitting my child in class I / I I / III / IV /V /VI /VII / VIII / IX / X / XII. When do I apply ?

Advertisement for registration to any of the above classes for the next academic session is also released along with KG admissions in the previous academic year in mid October. Parents of ‘Non Air Force’ category can register the names of their wards as per the details given in the advertisement. Admissions will be granted purely on availability of vacancy in the class applied and also on the basis of performance in the entrance test which will be held in the first/second week of the academic session in which the admission is sought. Children of Air Force personnel can apply for admission on their arrival on posting to Delhi.

I wish to admit my child in class XI in your school. When should I apply?

For admission to class XI parents can apply soon after the publication of Board results along with the marksheets. Allocation of stream will be done as per the laid down admission criteria.

Do I need to register separately for admission in AFBBS, TAFS and AFGJI ?

 No. You need to register only once for admission in our schools as the admission requests are processed centrally. You only need to indicate your choice of school in the application form in the correct order.

Selection of Teachers


Q 1

I wish to apply for a PRT/TGT/PGT post in your school. What procedure should I follow?

A1

Selection of teachers for an academic session for AFBBS, TAFS and AFGJI is done centrally. Vacancies are forecast in advance and an advertisement is released in the 2nd /3rd week of March for the next academic session in Hindustan Times. Applicants can fill up the prescribed application form as per the details given in the advertisement. Interview for selection will be held in the 2nd/ 3rd week of April. A panel for teachers will be drawn up on the basis of interviews and vacancies will be filled as per the order of merit.

How long is the panel for teachers valid?

The panel for teaches is valid for one year. All vacancies coming up in an academic session is filled from this panel.

School Transport


Q1

Whom should I contact to know if there is school bus to the area of my residence?

A1

There are two school owned buses and eight DTC buses plying on routes as specified under ‘School bus routes’. Pick up/dropping points of each of these buses is mentioned. These buses are directly controlled by the school. Students who wish to avail school bus facility of these buses should fill up the prescribed application form available in the school. After approval and advance payment of school bus fees for a quarter, bus passes will be issued which are to be carried by children daily. For any further information, you can contact the school bus in charge in school.
