# EXAMINATION PROMOTION RULES
>>  Class KG - Class V

>>  Class VI - Class XII

>>  Class X & Class XII
  • A Student has to put in at least 75% of the attendance during the year to become eligible to appear for the Annual Examination.
  • There will be no retest in any subject. Absence from the test in one or more subjects involves loss of marks/Grades in these subjects and excludes the student from prizes and other awards. Students absent form an examination will not be re-examined.
  • If a student has not been able to take an examination/ assessment in circumstances beyond his/her control and he/she has other wise secured the required percentage of marks/grades in the other examination, his/her promotion will be decided by the Principal based on his/her past record. 80. If a students fails in the school for two successive years. He/ She will not be allowed to continue in the school.

Class KG - Class V

Promotion is based on the performance of a child over the entire academic year on cumulative assessment of Class tests, Class work, home assignments and Unit Tests. The assessments are consolidated three times at the end of each sessions. The assessment will be reflected in the form of grades. The range of grading is given below:

  • A+ 95%
  • A 90-94%
  • B+ 80-89%
  • B 70-79%
  • C+ 60-69%
  • C 50-59%
  • D 40-49%
  • E Less than 40%

In order to be declared as passed at the end of an academic session, a student must secure the grade not less than D in each subject.

Class VI - Class IX and XI

Middle/Senior Secondary School (Class VI to IX & XI)

  • There will be a series of Unit Test for Classes VI to VIII and terminal Examination for Classes IX to XII in each academic session.

percentage of marks allotted to each will be as follows :

  1. For classes VI-VIII each unit tests 20%.

  2. For classes IX & XI

    1. Ist Term Exam : 20%

    2. IInd Term Exam : 30%

    3. Annual Examination :50%

  • In order to be declared as "Passed" at the end of the academic session, a student must secure 40% marks in each of the subjects offered by him/her.
  • If a student fails in a class for two successive years, she/he will not be allowed to continue in the school.

Top

Class X and XII

Secondary and Senior Secondary (X and XII)

  • Students of class X and XII who are to appear in the Board Examinations at the end of the year, will appear in the pre-board Examination to be held in January. All the students will also have to take the I Term and II Term Examination.

  • Admission to Class XI is considered as readmission. If a student fails or obtains a compartment in a subject in the CBSE Class X examination she/he will not be readmitted to the school.

  • For admission and allotment of streams in Class XI, the results of the Board Examinations will be taken into consideration.
