REPUBLIC DAY


26 January 1950 is one of the most important days in the history of India as it was on this day the constitution of India came into force and India became a truly sovereign state. The Republic Day is celebrated with much enthusiasm all over the country. Its an solemn occasion to remember the sacrifice of the mart yes.

The AFGJI also celebrated India’s 60th Republic Day in its own unique manner on the 25 January 2010.

The special assembly was aptly conducted by the Head Girl Sukanya Phul.

The Principal, Mrs Shipra Sarcar gave a very heart warming speech to the students and recited the Preamble of the constitution along with them.

This was followed by a patriotic Hindi speech given by Anvisha Manral. The Zest and passion evident in the speech made our hearts throbs for our country.

Vishal Tiwari of class VI B rendered patriotic song ‘Ae Vatan’ and was joined by the students.

‘Republic Day’ a beautiful poem, was recited by Ankita Goyal, a student of class XI A. We were all moved by the depth of the poem.

The Assembly was concluded by singing the National Anthem of India.
