The present status of NCC is as follows. Strength 100 Cadets (I Year: 50 ; II Year 50) Enrollment 13 Years and above can join NCC
Training NCC Classes are held once in a week for the duration of two hours. Besides the drill cadets are taught about the organization of Defence, Principle of Flight, parts of Aircraft and recognition of various types of Aircraft, various ranks in Air Force and Equivalent rank in Army & Navy. As per NCC rules 50 such classes must be held once in a year. Sometimes classes are held twice a week to complete the target. Apart from the above activities various competitions are held to develop the confidence of cadets. Main idea is to encourage the cadets to join the Armed Forces and to develop the leadership quality.
Refreshment : As per NCC rules the cadets are entitled for refreshment @ Rs.6/- each after the class. The cadets of school are given refreshment after the NCC classes. Outdoor Activities : Range Firing and Gliding are conducted by No. 1, Delhi Air Sqn NCC and our cadets undergo these activities. Our cadets visit India Gate on the Army Day and the Naval Day.
Social Activities : Each and every cadet is required to plant at least one tree, teach an illiterate person and pledge for not taking dowry. The school cadets also participate in school activities on the Independence day and give guard of the honour to honourable chief guest and demonstrate the drill. ANO : Associated NCC Officer: I, II Officer GN Dwivedi has been looking after NCC activities since December 1990. He did Pre-commissioning in 1991 at AFAC Coimbatore and refresher course in 2003. NCC Camp : Every year Annual Training camp is held and details of the camp 2005. Financial Assistance : Our school does not get any financial assistance from either NCC Directorate or Delhi Govt. We get only uniform from the NCC Directorate. Other expenses are borne by the school only. Students are charged only Rs.18/- towards regimental fund in two years. This is deposited to No. 1, Delhi Air Sqn NCC. Activities / Guidelines : All NCC activities are being conducted in the school as per the guidelines, rules & regulations of NCC Directorate.
