FORMAL FAREWELL

On 23rd January 2010 the formal farewell for the outgoing students of class XII batch was held at Rabindralaya Hall. The Programme began with a Sanskrit prayer recited by the teachers and students. It was followed by the Principal’s address. Next some parents came and shared their memories about their association with the school.

The TILAK ceremony followed soon after, in which the students were given scarves and ties as a token of remembrance. A group song ‘Purane Din Pirane Pal’ was presented by the school choir. Soon it was time for the announcement of the prefectorial board for the year 2010-2011 and the candle ceremony followed soon after. The former appointees handed over the candles to the new appointees signifying the passing on of the responsibilities an duties.

The ceremony was concluded by a speech by the Head Boy designate; Kranthi Rao and the former Head Girl; Swadha Ojh. Swadha speech brought tears in the eye of moms and dads present there. Overall, it was a great event and was appreciated by one and all.
